Duties
Plans, establishes, implements, and manages the full range of policies and procedures of the following major multi-functional areas, Defense Travel System and Sales data, personnel liaison, financial, and administrative management functions.
Conducts recurring special management surveys to measure internal performance and technical reviews to improve Troop Support Indo-Pacific operational efficiency.
Serves as a Technical Analyst with the responsibility for providing detailed, technical, and complex administrative functions with regard to the accomplishment of knowledge management goals across the enterprise.
Reviews the structure and functions of the Pacific Region with regards to work processes or functions, to resolve substantive issues of moderate scope, and propose solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
Exercises general project management responsibilities with respect to knowledge management project execution and lifecycle sustainment for assigned duties.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Management Analyst, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
- Documents, identifies, and seeks resources required to perform and sustain approved knowledge management initiatives.
- Performs a variety of staff functions such as participating in audits and inspections of region operations, review and analysis, report preparation, metrics, and forecasts.
- Recommends strategies to improve service within the diverse areas of responsibility to include training, travel management, controlled correspondence, records management, internal controls, audits, and other administrative activities.
- Participates in broader planning, knowledge management, program management, and policy initiatives, to ensure knowledge management needs of the organization are met.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
