The Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Manufacturing and Energy Management Supply Chain is looking for a dynamic, innovative executive to serve as the Deputy Director for Project Management in the Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains.
Duties
As the Deputy Director of Project Management you will:
Responsible for the delivery of a multi-billion dollar portfolio of clean energy projects.
Lead projects for manufacturing, processing, and recycling facilities producing products and components essential to the clean energy and transportation economy.
Coordinates across MESC offices as well as the Under Secretary for Infrastructure, Under Secretary for Science and Innovation, and other experts across the Department of Energy.
Serve as Division Director, managing technical team in providing policy and technical support, including oversight of approximately 40 staff, including Project Officers and supervisory team.
Set all internal control standards for effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity; and assess all organizational policy, program, and project viability.
Report to the Principal Deputy Director of MESC.
Qualifications
As a basic requirement for entry into the SES, applicants must provide evidence of progressively responsible executive leadership and supervisory experience that is indicative of senior executive level management capability and directly related to the skills and abilities outlined under Executive Core Qualifications and Mandatory Technical Qualifications listed below.

MANDTORY TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS (MTQs):
IN ADDITION TO THE ECQS, YOU WILL BE EVALUATED ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING MANDATORY TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS (MTQs): Your responses to the MTQs should be embedded/addressed in detail within your resume, not to exceed eight (8) pages.
MTQ#1: Demonstrated capabilities in project management principles, including planning, contracting, and construction management, particularly as applicable to federal financial assistance programs and complex commercial-scale manufacturing or energy-related projects.
MTQ#2: Demonstrated experience building, training, and leading a matrixed, diverse team to support deployment of high-profile commercial scale manufacturing projects while working with communities and other stakeholders.
MTQ#3: Demonstrated knowledge and work experience in leading strategy development, process improvement, and operational reporting across a portfolio of large, complex commercial-scale clean energy manufacturing projects.
