Qualifications

In addition to the basic entry education requirements, you must have specialized experience and/or directly related education as described below:
To qualify for the GS-14 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level defined as analyzing the health, environmental, and economic benefits of environmental regulations and advising internal and/or external groups on information related to these benefits.
Your application package will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of health, environmental, and economic benefits.
Ability to conduct health, environmental, and economic benefits studies related to environmental regulations.
Knowledge of health, environmental, and economic benefits analyses.
Knowledge in economic and health benefits methodology.
Skill in leadership and management of Task Orders related to health, environmental, and economic benefits assessment.
Ability to assess overall performance of external contractors.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education
Economist, 0110
You must have a bachelor's or higher degree from an accredited or pre-accredited college or university in economics with at least 21 semester hours in economics and 3 semester hours in statistics, accounting, or calculus; OR a combination of education and experience with courses equivalent to a major, as listed.
