Duties
Performs as a Logistics Management Specialist on a team responsible for Security Assistance (SA) programs for assigned ammunition and related support systems.
Coordinates, plans, and processes assigned Foreign Military Sales (FMS) cases and/or SA programs to program and financial reviews.
Develops, monitors, and updates FMS cases for conventional and non-standard ammunition, supporting various weapon platforms.
Coordinates/monitors all phases of materiel support for Security Assistance (SA) partner nations.
Obtains and reviews price and availability data to ensure materiel needs and regulatory requirements are met.
Provides assistance to foreign governments and international organizations, regarding procedures for equipping and maintaining forces under military assistance programs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Foundational Certification within 36 months of entrance on duty.
- This position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time.
- Position is designated Security Cooperation Workforce and must comply with conditions of employment outlined in the interim Implementation Guidelines for the DoD Security Cooperation Workforce Certification Program 2.0, November 6, 2023.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Monitoring ammunition delivery to foreign countries in accordance with Letters of Offer and Acceptance; 2) Performing technical review of Foreign Military Sales requests to ensure ammunition commitments to foreign governments are achievable; and 3) Utilizing automated logistics systems to coordinate, plan, develop, and/or execute assigned Foreign Military Sales (FMS) cases and/or Security Assistance (SA) programs. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
