About the Position: This position is located with the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 406th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Transportation Division, in Fort Moore, Georgia.
Duties
Perform duties as the Unit Movement Coordinator for the Unit Movements/Freight Office.
Assist in the review and analysis of mobilization requirements.
Serve as hand receipt holder for the Unit Movements Section.
Maintain overall accountability of installation deployment assets.
Maintain liaison with units and command staff agencies for coordinating air loading and departure times with Air Mobility Command (AMC) and commercial air mission support requirements.
Maintain information for processing convoys and special hauling requirements by ensuring military vehicles meet state requirements for clearances, weight restrictions, and time of travel.
Assist in the coordination of unit movement requirements assigned to directorates, activities, and staff offices.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential".
- In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- The incumbent of this position may be required to work after normal duty hours, weekends, and holidays based upon workload.
- The incumbent of this position will be required to complete and pass Hazardous Material and ICODES certification courses within 6 months of entry into the position.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Performing transportation support work related to personnel or organizational movements; 2) Maintaining transportation records for an organization; and 3) Resolving transportation issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
