About the Position: Serves a Logistics Management Specialist located US Army Material Command Logistics Data Analysis Center, Sales and Operations Planning Office at Redstone Arsenal, AL
Duties
Serves as expert for business processes involved with logistics systems management, material master management, item integration, reporting of asset visibility, weapon systems information management, unique item tracking, and pipeline reporting.
Responsible for validating the Defense Logistics Management System (DLMS) transactions which supports the initiative to promote Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) use to transfer all logistics information throughout Department of Defense.
Manages and identifies supply, maintenance, transportation, and force services required in developing analyses and recommendations which provide logistics readiness/deployment support for numerous units/activities within large geographical areas.
Exercises full program responsibility for assigned automated logistics systems.
Represents the organization at meetings, planning conferences, or study groups at the component/agency/command level on matters involving automated logistics management systems.
Requirements

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Participating in the development and/or review of logistics concepts and future plans based on extensive analysis; 2) Analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of logistics concepts; full spectrum of the acquisition life cycle with a primary focus on supply management/asset visibility. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
