You will serve as a Lead Security Specialist in the Anti-Terrorism and Physical Branch (C1121) of the Security and Fire Office (C 1120) at NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Duties
You will assist and develop, manage, evaluate, and implement complex security programs such as the installation Physical Security Program.
You will identify, distribute and balance workload and tasks among employees in accordance with skill level or occupational specialization.
You will maintain program administrative reference materials, project files and relevant background documents and ensure the availability of supervisor instratuctions.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
- This position may require you to report in person for an established amount of days per pay period.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience using investigative, audit and surveillance techniques to resolve difficult and complex security questions.
Experience providing Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) support and ensuring compliance with government AT/FP standards, possessing knowledge of protective devices, facilities procedures and methods.
Experience utilizing Navy directives, and regulations and policies pertaining to Anti-terrorism/Force Protection standards.
Experience in applying qualitative and quantitative methods to identify assess and improve team efficacy and work products.
Experience with Antiterrorism (AT) security criteria and standards, including safety requirements and personnel reliability and training needs.
Experience in the application of the principles, concepts and methodologies of the public law, Federal, DOJ and DoD and military service directives governing Antiterrorism (AT) processes.
