About the Position: This position serves as senior Operations and Plans Specialist with the IMCOM Directorate-Readiness, Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Duties
Serve as the Operations and Plans Specialist for Installation Management Command Directorate-Readiness (ID-R) planning, directing, and executing tasks and responsibilities in support of the ID-R mobilization, deployment and airfield services mission
Responsible for managing ID-R taskings to include monitoring open taskings to ensure suspense dates are met and submitting reports to the Director.
Perform studies which determine most effective and efficient method of providing base operations (BASOPS) services including contracting, partnerships, cooperative agreement or regionalization in support of readiness.
Responsible for integration of ID-R’s strategic plans, goals and objectives with Headquarters Department of the Army and installation senior commander mission requirements.
Develop programs, processes, and plans for current and future operations to include organizational structure, performance management, and business process improvement for all installation base operations (BASOPS) service areas.

Specialized Experience: One year specialized experience which includes 1) providing direction and general management for the administration and operations of various functions and services critical to meeting the mobilization/demobilization/deployment and/or redeployment requirements; 2) implementing new initiatives and/or change in mission requirements by formulating and recommending goals, policies, and objectives; 3) administering functional program areas such as support services, reduction of cost of operations, facilities, and state/local cooperative initiatives & efforts; and 4) developing and executing comprehensive programs to improve productivity, cost effectiveness, and efficiency of organizations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
