You will serve as an Engineering Technician in the Heavyweight & Lightweight Torpedo Production Division, Undersea Weapons Department of Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Keyport, Washington (NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA).
Duties
You will review customer requests for Undersea Vehicle maintenance and determine the processes and scope of the work required, entering processes into the Automated Process Control System (APCS).
You will coordinate a team effort in the development of unique and complex processing requirements for Undersea Vehicle Systems.
You will interface with personnel within the Intermediate Maintenance Activity (IMA), including Production Managers and Division Heads, as well as personnel from external organizations, to obtain approval of unique process requirements.
You will perform work which requires imagination and creative ability with respect to development and adaptation of equipment and processes.
You will request correction of authoritative technical documents and waivers against pre-set standard processing requirements.
You will provide feedback and ensure proper actions are taken to rectify any anomalies with work package, elevating major issues to a lead.
You will determine and coordinate appropriate resolution to hardware constraints.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
For GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning mechanical or electrical production to ensure technical engineering undersea vehicle projects are within procedure and regulation.
For GS-10: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing technical engineering assembly on torpedo systems for the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electro-mechanical systems and components.
