You will serve as a PSYCHOLOGIST in the DEPUTY CHIEF OF NAVAL OPERATIONS of NAVY CULTURE AND FORCE RESILIENCE OFFICE. PAY SCALE LOCATIONS: MILLINGTON, TN: $72,553 - $113,047 DAM NECK NAVAL FACILITY, VB: $73,572 - $114,634 ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA: $82,764 - $128,956

Duties

You will develop briefings to present scientific and technical information to non-scientific audiences You will conduct human performance analyses to determine solutions or interventions needed to address a performance problem or training need. You will conduct occupational group job and task analysis for research. You will prepare reports that characterize the special study or research project under review

Requirements

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

GS-12: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Designs, coordinates and executes custom qualitative and quantitative research projects related to prevention best practices, public health, and prevention science; 2) Identifies opportunities for improvement through exploratory, interactive, and iterative analysis of data and data sources to recommend ways to apply the data; 3) Develops and recommends strategies and policies to be used for the creation and implementation of data driven policies and guidance; and 4) Recommends solutions to enable nontechnical users to benefit from advanced analytics and works with end-users on implementation. GS-11: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assists with empirical analysis to identify sources for problems and maintaining situational awareness on current issues and workforce trends; 2) Contributes to formulation and construction of comprehensive plans to define, guide, and control analysis/research efforts for accomplishment of assigned areas, especially various complex destructive behavior; 3) Assists with developing and recommending strategies and policies to be used for the creation and implementation of data driven policies and guidance; and 4) Assists with developing solutions to enable nontechnical users to benefit from advanced analytics and works with end-users on implementation. Education

Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess:
A degree with a major or equivalent in Psychology.

In addition to meeting the basic entry qualification requirements, applicants can substitute directly related education in the amounts shown below.

GS-12: Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in Psychology.
OR
Successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Psychology.
OR
Combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.

GS-11:Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree in Psychology.
OR
Successfully completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree in Psychology.
OR
Combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
