You will serve as a Public Affairs Specialist in the Office of OFFSECNAV WASHINGTON DC.
Duties
You will be responsible for a variety of Public Affairs support: communication planning and evaluation, speech writing, social media copy, press releases, editing,
photography, media relations, briefing materials, and development of talking points.
You will measure response and engagement of communication objectives and initiatives via social media strategy/tactics.
You will analyze, write, review, and process prepared correspondence for final review and managerial signature, reviewing for procedural and grammatical correctness, conformance with general policy, factual accuracy, and proper staffing.
You will evaluate administrative practices and procedures to determine operational effectiveness, analyze problems of administrative matters and recommends solutions.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Addressing public and media inquiries using automated communication technologies; 2) Providing a variety of Public Affairs (PA) support (communication planning and evaluation, speech writing, press release, editing, briefing materials, etc); and 3) Writing, reviewing, and processing prepared correspondence for final review and managerial signature.
