This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Duties
Maintain an office calendar and time and attendance for the organization
Compose and edit correspondence from draft to final form
Serve as point of contact for visitors to the directorate relating to directorate held meetings and conferences
Review administrative documents and correspondence pertaining to directorate activities.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a qualified typist having 40 words per minute typing speed

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes serving as Secretary receiving telephone calls and visitors, screening those which can be handled without the supervisor's help, assembling information for various reports, briefing and conferences, prepare a wide variety of recurring internal reports, documents and correspondence from information obtained from staff, files and other sources. Maintain supervisor's calendar, schedules appointments and conferences, make extensive travel arrangements, inputs employee time and serves as liaison between the Directorate and personnel.
