You will serve as a PLANS AND POLICY SPECIALIST in the U.S. Marine Corps of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BLAZ.
Duties
You will contribute to the development, review, and analysis of the operational readiness requirements of the installation.
You will be the principal advisor for all administrative and executive functions of the plans and policy section.
You will direct the development, review, and analysis of operational readiness requirements of the installation and ranges in support of operational USMC forces, both tenant and transient.
You will be responsible for the development of all USMC force deployment schedules.
You will oversee Joint Service and partner nation integration with USMC forces during exercises and training.
You will serve as a USMC Installation planner and integrate.
You will develop and recommend global sourcing solutions for forces capabilities of both active and reserve forces in order to meet installation requirements to support transient and tenant units engaged in training, exercise support, and operations.
You will participate in staff reviews of Joint and Service orders, directives and manuals and provides input on proposes amendments and changes.
You will serve as the principal source of expertise and continuity to the Commander for all matters related to the implementation of service and joint/combined operational policy, procedures and doctrine.
You will analyze systems or processes to recommend or execute improvements in an effort to increase efficiency, efficacy, or other performance related initiatives.

- This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport. May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.
- The incumbent must successfully complete a background security investigation and be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- You will be required to sign the Statement of Understanding for Overseas Employment acknowledging receipt and understanding of the statement of living and working conditions for this location.

- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision
- Overtime assignments may be required due to the complexity and sensitivity of a task. Temporary Additional Duty (TAD) may be required up to 10% annually.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: ????1) analyze, evaluate, and implement major aspects of high visibility and substantive programs, both mission and management oriented. 2) developing solutions to complex problems and resolving issues of civilian and military personnel administration. 3) must have an in-dept knowledge and understanding computers and their applicant's software (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe).

Additional Information:
The position physically resides on Camp Blaz and conducts occasional site visits to other camps or installations or locations in mainland Japan and Okinawa, Hawaii, and the Continental U.S.
The preponderance of work will occur within the confines of an adequately lighted and ventilated common-space, group, or (space-dependent) individual office. Depending on the nature of the services provided by a base activity, it might be necessary to observe operations in a field, hangar, motor pool, construction site, or warehouse type environment.
May be required to travel moderate distances on foot, perform light lifting, moving, bending, and exposure to elements in a field environment in order to successfully perform assigned duties. Work normally requires a minimum of physical exertion. On occasion will require walking/hiking through the MCBCB main cantonment, AAFB North Ramp, Skaggs Urban Training Complex (UTC), Mason Live Fire Training Range Complex (LFTRC), and potentially visits to Saipan and Tinian.
Must be in physical condition to travel to domestic and worldwide localities in order to participate in conferences, OPTs, and seminars. Overtime assignments may be required due to the complexity and sensitivity of a task.
