This position is located in Region One, Region One, Mission Support Division, Administrative Services Branch. The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate experience evaluating cost estimates, price proposals, negotiating contract modifications, as well as monitoring and administering contract performance.

Qualifications

The qualification requirements listed below must be met within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. This position has an Individual Occupational Requirement found at Contracting Series, 1102 (opm.gov). In addition to the minimum qualifications described below, you must meet the following basic requirement(s) to be considered qualified for the position. Submission of transcript(s) is required. Basic Requirements:GS-12 A 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major in any field; or At least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management. Exceptions (GS-12): Employees in GS-1102 positions will be considered to have met the standard for positions they occupy on January 1, 2000. Employees who occupy GS-1102 positions at grades 5 through 12 will be considered to meet the basic requirements for other GS-1102 positions up to and including those classified at GS-12. This includes positions at other agencies and promotions up through grade 12. However, employees must meet specialized experience requirements when seeking another position. The qualification requirements listed below must be met within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. In addition to the minimum qualifications described above, you must meet the following requirement(s) to be considered qualified for the position: (transcript required) To qualify for this position at the GS-12 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Examining and evaluating cost estimates, price proposals, and determining reasonable proposal costs; AND Reviewing financial and technical information provided by contractors. AND Processing sole source requirements and conducting market research. FAC-C/FAC-COR certification is preferred.
