Duties
The work of this position primarily involves assisting on various audits, inspections, and evaluation assignments. The incumbent, a professional auditor trainee, works with a team leader in a developmental capacity to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of organizations, programs, and activities, including procurement, financial, and information technology systems and other operations and programs.

- 24 semester hours may include up to 6 hours of credit in business law.
- Must have completed at least one year of graduate level education.
- Graduate school must be accredited by the U.S. Department of Education.
- Enrolled at least half-time as defined by your school.
- Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or its equivalent and must submit cover letter
Qualifications
In order to be deemed as qualified, candidates must meet the qualification criteria; Part A and Part B.
Part A-Eligibility Requirements
Transcripts must include 24 semester hours in accounting. The 24 hours may include up to 6 hours of credit in business law.
A graduate degree seeking student and have completed at least one year of graduate level education.
Enrolled in a school that has been accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Enrolled at least half-time as defined by your school.
Be in good academic standing (i.e., must have at least a 3.0 GPA or its equivalent).
Students must provide a Cover Letter describing their interest in the position.
US Citizen or if you are not a citizen you must meet one the following criteria: 1. owe permanent allegiance to the United States (for example, natives of American Samoa and Swains Island); 2. be a lawfully admitted for permanent residence and seeking citizenship as outlined in 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)(B); or 3. be admitted as a refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157 or have been granted asylum under 8 U.S.C. 1158 and have filed a declaration of intention to become lawful permanent resident and then citizen when eligible.
Part B-Intern Requirements

In order to be deemed as qualified, candidates must meet the following educational qualification requirements: Completion of 1 full academic year of graduate level education or eligibility under the Superior Academic Achievement Provisionand completion of a bachelor’s degree. Note, to be eligible for the Pathways Internship program you must either be able to confirm upcoming enrollment or active enrollment in a graduate level degree program.
Superior Academic Achievement is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average, or (3) honor society membership.
Class standing -- Applicants must be in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses.
Grade-point average (G.P.A.) -- Applicants must have a grade-point average of:
3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B" or better) as recorded on their official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or
3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B+" or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2years of the curriculum.
Education requirements must be met prior to appointment. Updated transcript is required to verify requirements have been met.
