About the Position: This is an Equal Employment Specialist position working with Medical Readiness Command - West, Fort Sam Houston, TX.
This position a TERM NTE 2 Years, maybe extended up to 6 years and maybe made permanent.
Duties
Provides expert advice on all matters related to the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program and on the feasibility and impact of plans, policies, and decisions.
Interprets Army, DoD, and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) policies and procedures as they relate to complex discrimination complaints.
Provides advice and guidance on Special Emphasis Programs.
Develops, establishes criteria, research, analyze, advice, train, implement, and administer an extensive EEO programs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- This position requires a Secret background investigation.
- TERM trial period of one year.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which include providing advice to managers or staff members on recruitment, selection, labor relations, job evaluation, and complex discrimination complaints as it relates to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
