You will serve as a Postal Operations Specialist (OMM) of NAVSUP FLC SD GF.
Duties
You will responsible for official mail program oversite and providing ashore postal advisory and inspection services.
You will perform various commands to analyze and determine requirements; establishing a mail management program and attendant procedures at serviced commands; ensuring that postal regulations and laws are complied with
You will provide technical direction to tenant activities on postal operations and mail service programs
You will perform cost/ benefit analysis and develops plans for installation /implementation of new postal equipment, systems, and procedures
You will be responsible ensuring that all operations comply with mail (USPS, FEDEX, UPS, DHL and other premium carriers) procedures and inter-office correspondence.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing technical, analytical and Postal Operations work that demonstrates a knowledge of mail management and postal operations in order to insure efficient operation of the organization. I have experience analyzing mail practices, reviewing orders, and determining the extent of entitlements and eligibility for the shipment, storage options, shipments under various types of orders. I also have experience evaluating Transportation Service Provider responsibilities (TSP), Household Goods (HHG) claims/procedures and other information relevant to the shipment and storage of personal property. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Analyze and track workload (volume/ type of mail), current mail handling procedures, and cost of operations; 2) Performs a variety of postal duties including acceptance, screening, sorting, and distributing incoming mail (USPS, FEDEX, UPS, DHL and other premium carriers); 3) Assures that appropriate and correct mail handling procedures are practiced. and 4) Conduct cost/ benefit analysis and develops plans for installation /implementation of new postal equipment, systems, and procedures

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
