You will serve as the Combatant Craft Medium (CCM) Principal Acquisition Program Manager (PAPM) in the Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (SOF AT&L) Program Executive Office - Maritime (PEO-M) Surface Systems (SS) program office located at MacDill AFB, Florida on remote assignment from the Special Operations Engineering and Development Branch (S12), Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division.

Duties

You will provide program management oversight and subject matter expertise to all current and future projects under the Combatant Craft Medium (CCM) portfolio. You will manage the cost, schedule, and performance of the full acquisition lifecycle of the legacy CCM Mk1 and future CCM Mk2 platforms. You will provide oversight, project support, and technical monitoring of work being performed by contractor, government, and industry organizations on behalf of the PEO-M Program Manager Surface Systems (PMSS). You will supervise the planning, organization, and execution of technology insertion programs into both the CCM Mk1 and Mk2 platforms. You will provide expert guidance into the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) of all acquisition phases of the CCM program portfolio. You will travel as required to support all Program Executive Office - Maritime (PEO-M) Surface Systems (SS) events and other related technology capability demonstrations. You will collaborate with Military Services and Government Agencies. You will prepare and present briefings and reports to senior leadership within U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and the U.S. Navy.

  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 pay band (GS-11 and GS-12 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying principles of project management to manage an organization's acquisition activities. Examples of qualifying experience may include (1) ability to lead Integrated Program or Cross-Functional teams responsible for full program lifecycle execution; (2) knowledge of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes, such as resource budgeting, spend plan development, and financial execution; (3) knowledge of the acquisition and management of Naval Surface Warfare platforms; (4) ability to direct and manage acquisition activities, develop plans and policies, and coordinate staff efforts in the execution of responsibilities.
