This position is located in the Driver Training Unit, Functional Training Operations Division (DTU), Foreign Affairs Security Training Center, Directorate of Training. You will serve as a subject matter expert in security/counterterrorism driving techniques, armored vehicle dynamics, and other related areas.
Duties
Reviews established training objectives, lesson plans, training materials, and instructional methods prior to the beginning of assigned courses.
In coordination with the supervisor, provides technical guidance, recommendations, and instruction for
conducting the driver training programs overseas.
Serves as Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) for Personal Services Contractors (PSCs) assigned to
the DTU and as Government Technical Monitor (GTM) for DTU Third Party Contractors (TPCs).
The incumbent participates in the planning, design and development of new security training courses as a Subject Matter Expert in the driver training area.

- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Incumbent will be subject to random drug testing.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
-Experience planning, organizing, implementing, and managing the presentation of Armored Vehicle Driver Training courses.
-Experience developing and writing contract work statements.
-Experience developing written security policies and training procedures.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-13 position.
