You will serve as a Deputy Director Equal Employment Opportunity (DDEEO) for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) and NSWCDD, Dam Neck Activity (DNA). You will provide authoritative advice and program guidance to the Commanding Officer, Technical Director and other management officials. You will apply significant program management, analytical skills and technical judgment in executing assigned responsibilities.
Duties
You will serve as a major advocate for a diverse and inclusive workplace environment: conduct studies, analyze data and develop integrated strategies to further organizational objectives.
You will serve as a change agent and proactively identify barriers to equal employment opportunity and develop strategies and plans to address them.
You will engage all levels of the workforce on EEO, diversity, and inclusion through a variety of communications, briefings, training and on-line resources
You will manage the informal and formal complaints processes; special emphasis programs; disability program including reasonable accommodations; and MD-715/affirmative employment.
You will collaborate with other functional leads to provide integrated strategies, products and services for customers.
You will manage a cross-site branch and perform the full range of administrative and technical supervision, as well as manage a portfolio of projects against cost, schedule, and performance.
You will collaborate with Headquarters (HQ) and the larger EEO community to stay abreast of current and developing policies and practices.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Executing and evaluating a civilian federal equal employment opportunity (EEO) program to include advising on the application of equal employment opportunity (EEO) program requirements and developing strategic initiatives and recommendations for senior leaders.
