This position is in the Office of the Director, Sexual Assault & Harassment Prevention & Response (SAHPR) Office. The employee serves as the Sexual Violence Resource Coordinator responsible for monitoring & implementing SAHPR program objectives & procedures using a trauma-informed & survivor-centered approach. Provides oversight of the sexual violence prevention & response victim advocates in their support & case management of victims/survivors of sexual assault, sexual harassment, & stalking.

Duties

As a Supervisory Sexual Violence Response Coordinator,you will perform the following duties: Supports the development of policy, procedures, program standards, and training curriculum. Supports the development of an evaluation plan for measuring elements of the comprehensive sexual assault and sexual harassment prevention strategy and program results. Assists with the monitoring of procedures and systems to ensure that victims and survivors have access to raise concerns regarding their support and/or care. Ensure procedures and policies are aligned with current best practices as they relate to victim advocacy and survivor support. Develops, coordinates, implements, and monitors comprehensive prevention activities and response procedures that address individual, interpersonal, and organizational factors that contribute to sexual violence, victim advocacy, and survivor support. Provides immediate supervisory, technical oversight of the sexual violence prevention and response victim advocates (VAs) who have the responsibility of facilitating reporting and victim advocacy to victims and survivors of sexual assault, sexual harassment, and stalking enterprise-wide. Ensures victim advocates provide timely and regular communications and outreach to victims for continuation of appropriate care, support, and assistance. Monitors and tracks VAs progress toward the National Advocate Credentialing Program (NACP) and works with local human resources offices to ensure personnel attain and maintain their certification levels within the required timeframe. Utilizes data to adapt, implement, and evaluate sexual assault response and prevention activities incompliance with policies and guidance. Utilizes data to prioritize and gauge sexual assault response and prevention efforts to inform resource needs.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the educational requirements and must possess both the specialized experience and the selective factor. 1) Basic Requirements Degree:behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. 2) To qualify at the GS-14 level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 Level in the federal government implementing, monitoring, and overseeing sexual violence prevention and response activities for an organization. Examples of relevant experience includes: developing, implementing, and overseeing response procedures related to victims of sexual violence; researching and drafting prevention strategies; leading or supporting sexual violence prevention and response victim advocates; assessing and evaluating sexual assault and harassment response and prevention activities; and developing and leading training related to sexual harassment and assault prevention and response techniques. 3) In addition to meeting the requirements above, applicants must also meet the selective factor below. I have experience implementing sexual violence programs utilizing a trauma informed and survivor centered approach, with experience in systems-based advocacy within federal, law enforcement and/or academic institutions. Applicant must be able to serve in an "on call" duty status outside of normal work hours, carrying a cellphone and remaining in a reasonable call back radius, staffing the 24/7 support duty line as needed; regularly checking emails to respond to crises, and/or reporting to a designated place of duty to perform work. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, & skills & can provide valuable training/experience that translates directly to paid work. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
