Duties
Serves as a Recreation Specialist within the Recreation Program Team involved with planning, organizing, and conducting facility recreation
programs for the community.
Organizes, plans, and evaluate community programs that reflect community interests. Develops and plans publicity using installation media.
Assists with training new personnel. Assures that proper security measures are taken to safeguard monies, property, equipment and facility.
Assists with other recreation programs in the Recreation Center as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements

- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
Qualifications
Experience OR a combination of experience and education that provided the knowledge of the goals, principles, methods, and techniques of recreation programs and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups.
Completion of the requirements for a bachelor's degree with major study in outdoor recreation and parks; recreation management; youth, public, urban or community recreation; or special population recreation is qualifying experience.
** Highly Preferred - Resume must demonstrate experience in the highly preferred criteria. **
1. Must have experience coordinating and planning military special events.
2. Must have experience writing and reviewing OPORDS.
Applicants that meet the Highly Preferred criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. All others may be referred if management does not make a selection from the Highly Preferred list.
