This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce for to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located at Fort Johnson, Louisiana.

Duties

Plan weekly and monthly work schedules and sequence of operations for subordinates Determine equipment, supplies, and maintenance required to perform work Explain work requirements, methods and procedures to workers Establish deadlines/priorities on basis of general work schedules and methods/policies established by higher levels of supervision Promote participation of employees in such programs as the Suggestion Program Cost Reduction

Requirements

• This position requires a Tier 1 personnel security investigation.
• This position requires working shifts.
• This position requires a pre-employment drug test and testing throughout duration of employment.
• This position requires business travel/TDY up to 5% of the time.
• This is a “Mission Essential” position not subject to administrative dismissal in emergencies created by inclement weather conditions or emergency situations as appropriate.
• This position requires a valid stateside driver's license.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to Supervise the work of general maintenance workers performing such duties as troubleshooting mechanical or electrical components to identify a malfunction and determine repair or removal, overseeing installation, and/or fabrication of training support facilities such as buildings, bleachers, or berms, performing carpentry work ensuring fit and accuracy, operating equipment to demolish and remove/relocate items from the landscape, identifying repairs required on real property facilities OR assisting other leaders by providing information to construct the operational budget.
