You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the ADVANCES PROGRAMS DIVISION, DIGITAL,INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, ANALYSIS AND CYBER DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Duties

You will plan, execute, and recommend actions under general direction from program leadership while exercising independent judgment. You will oversee the day-to-day technical operation, maintenance, and security of the program’s information technology architecture and cybersecurity strategies. You will direct and mentor a diverse team specializing in configuration and data management (CDM), facilities management, network administration, system administration, information security, and high-performance computational engineering.

• This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 802 level Advanced within 12 months of appointment.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. In addition to demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-04 pay band in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the public or private sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to some or all of the following: 1) Applying Information Technology security policies and constraints; 2) Executing contracting requirements and configuration and data management best practices; 3) Directing and mentoring a team; 4) Generating and managing high complex infrastructure and information technology requirements across multiple security levels.
