About the Position: This position is under the supervision of the Combat Service and Combat Services Support Readiness and Sustainment (R&S) Directorate. The referral list(s) generated by this announcement may be used to fill future vacancies in other organizations throughout the ILSC in Warren, MI.
Duties
Apply Army maintenance policies and procedures during the development and execution of interactive electronic technical maintenance verifications, install instructions and other technical manuals.
Utilize logistics database (such as logistics modernization program LMP, PowerLog-J, COMPASS) to determine maintenance trends and input provisioning data, updates, and data extraction for assigned weapon systems.
Review engineering change proposals, production waivers and deviations and furnishes positions based upon maintenance implications.
Resolve field inquiries and issues which require field studies, technical research, and investigation of material deficiencies and malfunctions.
Prepare maintenance repair scope of works (SOWs) and national work requirements (NMWRs) for government/contractor facilities to inspect, test, service, repair, rebuild, overhaul and/or upgrade weapon systems.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) guiding the warfighter on equipment maintenance procedures; or 2) providing technical assistance to the warfighter for the maintenance of their field equipment; or 3) developing National Maintenance Work Requirements to assist the war fighter equipment repairs. This definition of Specialized Experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the Federal service (GS-11).
