This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DOMESTIC DEFENSE INDUSTRIAL BASE (DIB) FACILITIES AND THE MAJOR RANGE AND TEST FACILITIES BASE (MRTFB) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Duties
Serve as project support engineering technician with the responsibility for project design and installation support.
Utilization of the Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) system and manufacturing capabilities and practices of the various shops on the installation.
Expertise in electronics and program management for project administration.
Define required equipment, and overall system functionality to assure that the final products requirements will meet customer and system requirements.
Requirements
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain eligibility at the Secret level using a Tier 3 background investigation.
- One-year probationary period.
- 50% business travel.

Specialized Experience
GS-09
Specialized experience is defined as: 1)Preparing technical data packages with limited guidance for project design and/or installation support; 2)Generating and implementing drawing redlines from site surveys; and 3) Assisting in the review of engineering drawings and/or Bills of Materials.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08).
GS-10
Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Preparing technical data packages with limited guidance for project design and/or installation support;2) Generating and implementing drawing redlines from site surveys; 3) Assisting in the review of engineering drawings and/or Bills of Materials; and 4) Developing Technical Data Packages (TDP) with "limited" guidance for development and issues.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
GS-11
Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Preparing technical data packages with limited guidance for project design and installation support; 2) Generating and implementing drawing redlines from site surveys; 3) Assisting in the review of engineering drawings and Bills of Materials; 4) Designing and installing support for communications systems for mission divisions; and 5) Developing Technical Data Packages (TDP) with "limited" guidance for development and issues.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10).
