Duties

Interpret technical policy, procedures and regulations and provide technical and administrative advice and assistance to resolve food service problems. Prepare correspondence, briefings, plans, operations orders and/or fragmentary orders to support the Food Service Program operations/services. Review and validate Performance Work Statements (PWS) for contracting actions in support of food service operations. Direct/manage the installation Food Service Programs to ensure that maximum results are achieved at the least cost. Develop Food Service Program budget for training requirements within the food program. Perform long-range planning to ensure efficient/effective provision and updating of equipment; food preparation, quality and facilities equipment, facilities, training, and personnel concerns.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Background Investigation is required.
  • Temporary duty travel of 25% may be required.
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain any food service safety certifications required by TB MED 530-Tri Serviced Food Code and Army Regulation 30-22 Army Food Program.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-11).
