The position serves as a Program Analyst under the Director, Vehicle Research and Test Center (VRTC). VRTC is the agency’s in-house test laboratory and is responsible for conducting research to support key agency programs is Crash Avoidance, Crashworthiness, Biomechanics, as well as Defects Analysis to support agency rulemaking, consumer information programs, defects investigation, and policy.

Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience requirements.To qualify for the Grade 13, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-12, it must include:
Experience developing, implementing, and managing administrative and/or operational support activities to support on-site laboratory operations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Demonstrated ability in areas related to administrative and operational functions of a research laboratory such as procurement, purchasing, financial tracking, contract management, facility maintenance, and property management.
Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze information in order to plan, develop, and implement actions that facilitate efficient conduct of VRTC programs and operations.
Demonstrated ability to work with others and effectively communicate orally and in writing.
