About the position: This position will be assigned to the Clubs at JBSA Randolph.
This is a flexible category position with no guaranteed hours. May work up to 40 hrs./wk. Scheduled as needed. Employees assigned to flexible positions are not eligible for benefits. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
Duties
Trains NF-I Cashiers. Performs receiving/disbursing of all cashier operations. Collects cash receipts, cash register tapes, checks, credit card receipts, club tokens, coupons and other supporting documentation. Prepares and issues change from fun as required. Prepares bank deposits and ensures daily deposit in a timely manner. Ensures change fund accuracy and proper accounting for charge cards, sales receipts, guest checks, monies and personal checks. Prepares consolidated daily reports and forwards to NAFFMB. Responsible for the change fund placed in the activities safe before actual bank deposit. Prepares cash reports and notifies supervisor of any suspected irregularities. Cashes checks and accepts payment for dues and charges to accounts. Ensures the proper accounting for charge cards, sales slips and guest checks and ensures they are included within the daily cashier's report. Accepts and processes new membership applications. Performs other related duties as assigned. Incumbent of this position may be intermittently exposed to environmental tobacco smoke on a voluntary basis. May operate a government vehicle to include light truck, sedan, golf cart, etc.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays or special situations.
- This position requires the incumbent on occasions to lift as much as 25 pounds.
- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. Must have a valid driver's license.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must be able to count large sums of money and other media such as charge vouchers, check cashing, coupons, and pro rata sheet. Must be able to fill out various forms and use of calculator. Must possess basic communicative skills in reading, writing, and speaking the English language in order to deal with customer accounting problems. Must be courteous and personable. Must have a neat and clean appearance and meet prescribed dress code. Must have experience of at least six months working in volume cash handling/reconciling positions, preferably in a Bank, Country Club, Hotel (desk clerk) or large restaurant environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of cash registers
2. Knowledge of clerical work/filing
3. Ability to follow oral and written instructions
4. Ability to drive on base
