This position will be assigned to the JBSA Randolph Clubs. This is a flexible category position with no guaranteed hours, may work up to 40 hours per week. Scheduled as needed. Employees appointed to a flexible (intermittent) category position are not eligible for benefits. Requires use of both arms and legs-prolonged standing, walking, reaching, and lifting.

Duties

Monitors operations of a club or assigned area, generally during the absence of the manager and assistant manager and normally at night or on weekends. Serves as a person in charge of the club during assigned shifts, maintaining the overall security of the club resources, including cash, controlled forms, consumable products, non-consumable products, fixtures, and furnishing. Responsible for issuing, receiving, and control of cash boxes. Reviews the scheduled functions during the assigned shift and ensure they are conducted per the management plan. Ensures that only authorized personnel use the facility and that club rules, regulations, and established procedures are followed. Assures patron satisfaction by resolving complaints and other customer problems. Provides instruction and guidance to all club staff members on functions taking place during the shift. Completes all closing checklists, including sanitation, fire, and security, and prepares a report of all significant occurrences during the shift. Inspects and secures facility at the end of the shift. May be required to work as a window cashier. When workflow exceeds scheduled staffing, this position will ensure that other personnel in the club are temporarily shifted to assist the understaffed area. May operate government vehicle. Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
  • This position has been identified as a Test Designated Position (TDP). The incumbent of this position will be subject to and must consent to a pre-employment and random drug testing. Must have a valid driver's license.
  • This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays or special situations.
  • The applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or a Legal U.S. Resident for a minimum of 3 years and must reside in/around the area as noted in the Job Opportunity Announcement.

Qualifying Experience: Experience of club, restaurant, and/or retail operation. Basic cash handling procedure experience. Must also possess experience which provides knowledge of cash handling procedures and sales operations such as receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit and use of cash accountability control methods. Must have experience which demonstrates the ability to provide work direction to other club employees in regard to fire, safety and health regulations. Experience as a supervisor is desired. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Ability to provide work directions to other club employees. 2. Knowledge of fire, safety, and health regulations. 3.
