Duties
Serves as the Administrative Specialist for multiple divisions within the Associate Director for Laboratory Programs (ADLP). Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Interpret & analyze administrative guidance.
Monitor the collection, editing, tracking, analysis, and distribution of programmatic and administrative information.
Participate in the planning and implementation of office and stakeholder events/activities, including logistics, registration, and material production/distribution.
Participates with the ADLP Leadership Team to document administrative and operational goals, policies, and objectives for the office.
Develops written documents such as spreadsheets, memoranda, presentations, briefing packages, and other materials for used by management.

Qualifications
This position requires one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-7 (ZA-I at NIST) level. Specialized experience is defined as: Advising management on administrative processes (e.g. correspondence management, procurement, purchasing, or travel) and Participating in the implementation or modification of administrative activities, strategies, policies, or procedures for an office
or
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
or
combination of education and experience.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
