Duties
You will review and implement operational information systems security implementation policy and guidelines.
You will conduct reviews of information systems to include vulnerability assessments and identify risk level and recommend corrective action and protective measures.
You will advise on matters related to cybersecurity and develop and maintain a cybersecurity program for the organization that focuses on risk management and full security compliance while maintaining operations.
Requirements

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 722, proficiency level Intermediate. Incumbent is required to obtain/maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
FOR DS-04:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or DS-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Implement and enforce Information System (IS), Platform Information Technology (PIT), Standalone, and Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) system cyber security policies and procedures;
2) Research and define, as necessary, cyber security related documentation/policy;
3) Initiate protective or corrective measures when a cyber-security incident or vulnerability is discovered;
4) Maintain current and accurate Risk Management Framework (RMF) assessments, authorizations, and documentation.
FOR DS-05:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or DS-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Advising on matters related to cybersecurity and develop/maintain a cybersecurity program for the organization that focuses on risk management and full security compliance while maintaining operations;
2) Ensure periodic testing and audits are conducted to assess the security posture of the information systems;
3) Ensure that all requirements are in place to support Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation requirements for information systems and coordinate information system security inspections, tests, and reviews;
4) Evaluate infrastructures and make recommendations on how to operate securely and manage risk to support operations.

Education
The following education may be substituted for specialized experience, at the DS-04 level:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
