Duties

Presents, analyzes and verifies data, techniques, methodologies associated with program development. Directing, developing, or performing logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating the logistical actions required to support a specified mission, weapons system, or other designated program. Identifying requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services needed to support the program; and correlating those requirements with program plans to assure that the needed support is provided at the right time and place Knowledge of agency program planning, funding, and management information systems;. Broad knowledge of the organization and functions of activities involved in providing logistical support. Ability to coordinate and evaluate the efforts of functional specialists to identify specific requirements and to develop and adjust plans and schedules for the actions needed to meet each requirement on time. Ability to integrate the separate functions in planning or implementing a logistics management program. Assignments may involve developing policies, procedure, and plans or result in unique products that provide tools or resources for broad application and are significant to the success of key mission programs affecting the organization. Duties require the ability to plan, analyze, and review major programs. Employee applies extensive knowledge of different functional programs and planning, evaluation, analysis and budgeting techniques, and presents, analyzes and verifies data, techniques, methodologies associated with program development.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • Position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level.

Qualifications

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Applying Logistics knowledge of different functional programs and program planning, such as evaluation, .analysis with a focus on equipment maintenance readiness programs or non-tactical vehicle fleet management. 2) Managing Maintenance Programs to develop policies, procedure, and/or plans resulting in unique products that provide tools or resources for broad application. 3 Interpreting laws, rules and regulations in order to develop implementation strategies, 4) Representing the organization on teams or committees outside the organization, such as developing new policies, approaches or techniques that improve the ability to analyze maintenance programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DB-2 / GS-11 or above]).
