THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a SEXUAL ASSAULT PREVENTION AND RESPONSE COORDINATOR-Title 5, Position Description Number T0070000 and is part of the WI 128 ARW, Wisconsin National Guard.
Duties
Serves as the Wing Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Coordinator (SARC) to comply with Department of Defense (DOD) and National Guard Bureau (NGB) requirements to institute and administer secondary prevention and support programs and activities for sexual assault and other areas of interpersonal violence and victim needs as directed by the Wing CDR.
Seeks, analyzes, and documents input about the program and up channels recommendations for modifications to appropriate stakeholders including the Wing CDR and State SAPR PM.
Assessments include consideration of complicating factors at the Wing to develop processes, procedures, and training that is effective for all parties.
Partners with the Wing/JFHQ Director of Psychological Health (DPH) and/or Behavioral Health Officer (BHO) to address intimate partner violence.
Builds and maintains a Wing response and victim support system which addresses a wide variety of issues and problems.
Manages and maintains 24/7 Wing response capabilities.

Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position that included at least 24 semester hours of course work in the behavioral or social sciences.

Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field that included at least 24 semester hours of course work in the behavioral or social sciences.

Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify at the GS-12 level you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience, education or training analyzing problems, identifying significant factors, gathering pertinent data and recognizing solutions; preparing reports, plans, policies and various correspondence; evaluating objectives and develop plans to facilitate the availability and effective utilization of various social science resources. Must have knowledge of the organization and its mission and utilized the organizational staff procedures. Experience applying analytical and evaluative techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of social science program operations carried out by administrative or professional personnel, or substantive administrative support functions.
Experience with sexual assault reporting process and being able to document while coordinating and collaborating with other agencies. Candidate can advise and provide direction to various people on policies, guidance, requirements, and various processes. Experience handling case management from beginning to finish. Able to create and implement a communication strategy to expand awareness and knowledge of reporting options to leadership. Experience supporting victims and continuity of care regardless of administrative and/or legal action. Experience leading the plan and securing resources for the immediate safety and physical needs of victims. Candidate able to collaborate with various agencies.
