About the Position: Serves as the training authority and consultant for the analysis, development, and review of experimental and future strategic and operational range and land training strategies for the United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC).

Duties

Executes policy and procedures for standardizing and modernizing Army training ranges to train ARSOF soldiers. Serves as a member of range modernization committees and working groups which oversee, coordinate, and evaluate the development of long- and mid-range plans for these programs. Plans, evaluates, develops, and assesses the need for new or improved training facilities. Serves as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR), for installation range support. Oversees a Range Operations Program.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must be able to possess and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance with SCI.
• This is a drug testing designated position. In accordance with AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, the incumbent must successfully pass a urinalysis screening prior to the appointment and periodically thereafter.
• May travel TDY up to 50% of the time.
• A one year probation period may be required.
• A one year supervisory probation period may be required.
