This position is located in USDA-Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), National Finance Center (NFC), Administrative Management Staff, Support Services Office (SSO). The incumbent will primarily be responsible for a variety of general support services functions that are essential for orderly and efficient accomplishments of the services rendered by the SSO.
This is a developmental position leading to the full performance level of Student Trainee (Support Services Assistant) GS-0303-07.
Duties
Provides administrative support to the National Finance Center as primary point-of-contact for the Facility and Administrative Services Team’s help desk operations.
Use office Microsoft Office software and computer equipment to enter, correct, and retrieve factual information, compile reports, produce charts and graphs, or monitor project or program status.
Requirements
- You must be a US Citizen or US National
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt
- Must be in good academic standing as defined by the agency.
- Complete at least 640 hrs of work experience prior to completion of degree
- Enrolled at least half-time at a qualifying educational institution
- A signed participant agreement is required for employment under Pathways
- Satisfactory Background investigation and/or fingerprint check
- Successful completion of two-year trial period.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.
INTERNSHIP PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY You must meet the definition of a student that is, enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited technical or vocational school, two-year or four-year college or university, graduate or professional school. You must be taking at least a half-time academic course load leading to a degree or certificate. A certificate program is defined as a post-secondary education, in a qualifying educational institution, equivalent to at least one academic year of full-time study that is part of an accredited college level, technical, trade, vocational, or business school curriculum. Your application and resume must clearly show that you possess the experience requirements. Transcripts must be provided. Provide course descriptions as necessary.
To qualify for the GS-04: Completion of two (2) full academic years of post-high school study or an associate's degree. (Transcripts are required)
Note: All education beyond high school must be accredited by an accrediting body or organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
