About the Position: Individual serves as a Program Analyst within the Institutional Training Division, DCS G-3/5/7, Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA).
Duties
Provide Army Aviation technical, program analysis, and training policy support to the Division.
Manage program requirements and recommended funding levels of various training programs.
Analyze and maintain constant awareness of changes in MDEP status and brief the Training PEG Administrator regarding the status of changes and effects on training programs supported by MDEP.
Analyze and establish annual goals and measures to ensure mission accomplishment based on broad objectives and Department of the Army training polices.
Recommend improvements in the use of the Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS) to manage institutional training.
Advise HQDA in updating, revising, and republishing, as required, various institutional training publications.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The duties of this position may require up to 15% TDY.
- This is a testing designated position.
- Personnel are required to sign DA Form 5019-R (Condition of Employment for Certain Civilian Positions Identified as critical under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program).
- Personnel must pass drug screening prior to hiring and will be subject to periodic and random drug testing, thereafter, in accordance with AR 600-85 and Department of Defense Directive 2010.9.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/ SCI Clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing technical advice on aviation training programs; monitoring resources and manpower constraints that impact training programs/mission; and utilizing automated systems to manage Institutional Training resources and requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
