About the Position: The position is located at the US Army Installation Management Command, Directorate of Public Works (DPW), Fort Moore, GA. Fort Moore is located 100 miles south of Atlanta, GA, and adjacent to Columbus, GA and Phenix City, AL.
Duties
Serve as Engineering Technician and Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and/or Technical Representative (TR) on highly technical and/or sensitive construction projects totaling over $40 million.
Coordinate project work with Contractor’s personnel to assure timely and satisfactory completion of all contract obligations.
Manage the scope development/pre-award phase for all assigned task orders.
Develop and/or review plans, scopes, designs, cost estimates, field investigations, reports, project folders, justifications, inspections, and contract and financial documentation.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) reviewing final plans, models, and/or details for engineering/construction projects to ensure compliance; 2) inspecting contract work for proper completion and compliance with contract documents; and 3) developing and/or administering contracts for the repair or construction of facilities and/or facility systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
