About the Position: This position is located at Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) in Denver, CO. The primary purpose of this position is to provide transportation services for the recruits of the US Military.
This will be filled on a permanent basis.
Duties
Arrange transportation for all recruits and enlistees from the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) to the designated Reception/Training Center.
Assist recruits experiencing unexpected delays, cancellation of flights, hospitalizations, absence, or refusal to fly.
Prepare, amend and revoke transportation orders for all recruits and enlistees assigned to all Military Services.
Ensure invoices are reconciled and certified properly in accordance with contract provisions.
Ensure proper accounting fund citations for each reimbursable account are noted on each invoice, thus allowing for proper payment.
Conduct comprehensive transportation briefing to all recruits regarding the use of meal tickets/checks, travel requirements/limitations, and follow-on transportation.
Provide awareness of up-to-date Transportation Security Agency (TSA) travel requirements to all recruits and enlistees.
Requirements
- Employee will be required to work an occasional Saturday and be on call at least 3 hours after the last recruit flight.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Successful completion of background investigation (NACI).
- Employee will be cross-trained in other MEPS functions and fulfills these functions on a short or long-term basis as required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience in Federal service which includes demonstrated/documented experience in 1) performing administrative duties such as producing reports and various documentation using different types of office automation systems, 2) providing accurate information to personnel in accordance with regulations, policies and/or guidance; 3)identifying and resolving reoccurring issues AND 4) verifying completeness and accuracy of documents being received.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-5).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
