About the Position: This position is located with Directorate of Branch Clinics Base OPS, Naval Medica Center, San Diego, CA.
Duties
Develop repair plans and the annual Long Range Maintenance Plan (LRMP).
Serve as the program analyst for all facility maintenance and repair programs, overseeing the database management of several thousand annual preventative, corrective, and maintenance jobs.
Supervise and prioritize execution of an annual multi-million-dollar sustainment, restoration, and modernization budget.
Critically analyzes maintenance program for cost-effectiveness and to satisfy mission requirements of the various departments and tenants services within limited funding.
Use computers and application software such as AutoCAD, MAXIMO, DMLSS, MS Office Suite, MS Project, and WINEST, etc. for management, communication, and report generating purposes.
Direct supervision over several government, military, and contracted personnel and establishes priorities and directs/monitors facilities operations and maintenance work to be accomplished.

- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential".
- This is a Term position scheduled to last {insert months and/or years}. A term position may be extended to a maximum of six years depending upon the needs of management.
- Term employment is subject to a one-year trial period. Employees serving a trial period can be removed with limited appeal rights.

- This position has a requirement to lift up to 25 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
- This position requires the employee to use personal protective equipment provided by the employer.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: oversee facility requirements to include the repair and modifications of existing facilities as well as any new construction requirements; validating the need for proposed new construction while determining requirements for projects; and developing short- and long-range planning for the maintenance and development of facilities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Managing a maintenance program for office or apartment building complexes, hospitals, recreation facilities, military, or other special-purpose installations, including planning maintenance activities, and developing preventive maintenance programs.
Conducting surveillance activities over construction and maintenance operations performed by a variety of private contractors, including reviewing project plans and specifications for workability, informing contractors of construction and reporting requirements, and supervising operations for conformance with project plans.
Performing maintenance or construction work, including estimating material and labor costs for a variety of construction or maintenance projects (such as construction or maintenance of brick, frame, structural steel, reinforced concrete, and other type structures ranging from one- or two-story buildings to larger structures), directing actual work operations, and maintaining appropriate contacts with the organization funding the project].
