Duties
You will be responsible for planning, developing and managing the career development and training programs for the organization.
You will develop annual training objectives and training programs to support the identified needs and objectives of personnel and the organizations strategic plan.
You will administer the orientation, supervisory, employee development and managerial training programs and processes.
You will write and research, develop materials and presentations, and present new and different material to
employees, supervisors, and managers during meetings/briefings and training sessions.
You will be responsible for the registration process of all MCCS training participants, locally and at the headquarters level
You will conduct needs assessments to determine the career development and training needs for employees and develop training plans based upon the assessment analysis, financial data, and projected demand for development.

- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Extensive knowledge of USMC MCCS training requirements. Experience and skill in developing and presenting MCCS training curriculum. Knowledge of career counseling in order to advise personnel of MCCS career ladder options. Knowledge of USMC ETHOS automated training program, annual NAF/APF employee training requirements, and supervisory training requirements. Knowledge and skill to use personal computers, prepare reports/spreadsheets, and development of training.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify based on education OR equivalent combination of experience and education, as follows:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled.

Successful completion of 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D., if related
