You will serve as a MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYST in the PROGRAM PLANNING DIVISION OF STRATEGIC SYSTEMS PROGRAM. This is a competitive detail not to exceed one year and is intended to provide an opportunity to gain the competencies necessary to perform the duties of a Management and Program Analyst. If selected there will be no change in your salary. Upon successful completion of one year, you may be eligible to compete for GS-0343-11, Management and Program Analyst positions.

Duties

You will research, analyze, evaluate, and ensures the accuracy of long and medium range missile, re-entry systems, launcher, calibration, support equipment, and/or wharf utilization production plans. You will prepare presentations and communicate to peers the impact of unplanned production shutdowns on supporting fleet requirements You will assist as project manager and/or team lead on unique management and operations assignments where guidelines are frequently conflicting, unavailable, or controversial with solutions, which have important program impact. You will establish command-endorsed short-range plans for missile, re-entry systems, launcher, calibration, support equipment, and/or wharf utilization processing and refurbishment in direct support of out/off loading of SSBNs.

  • Must have received a Fully Successful or higher performance rating on last performance cycle.
  • This detail opportunity may be rescinded if detailee fails to meet position requirements.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
