Duties
You will provide Journeyman level services to prepare, prime, paint, color code and stencil component parts or end items for rebuild or shipment with organic or inorganic material by using standard methods and techniques.
You will assure compliance with all safety requirements.
You will adjust the spray gun (airflow, fan, fluid, etc) to ensure paint is properly applied to prevent drips, runs, blisters, etc.
You will clean and lubricate spray guns to ensure spray guns will perform satisfactory during shifts, as well as flush and clean paint pots and lines when changing paint or at end of shift.

Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- Must be able to successfully pass the written and practical portions of the STAR4D certification test.
- This position requires you to be certified in the use of a respirator. You must possess and maintain respirator certification.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to lift 40 to 50 pounds as necessary and occasionally, with assistance, lift up to 100 pounds.
- You will be required to wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- This position may require you to work under adverse environmental conditions.
- This position may require you to work and be certified to work in confined spaces.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including overtime, shift, nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- This is a bargaining unit position.

Full range of painting, surface preparation, blending and matching paints, and coating of various surfaces requiring fine finishes and decorative effects.
