Duties
You will install, modify, and repair systems by setting up system routes, placing and cutting route openings, and placing hangers for correct pitch and elevation.
You will interpret and apply building plans, blueprints, and sketches to plan and layout the routing, placement, pitch, elevation, pressure reduction, expansion, and operation of different piping systems and equipment.
You will inspect and test systems for damage, leaks, and blockages in lines, expansion joints, valves and traps.
You will operate hand and power tools (e.g., hydraulic benders, presses, power saws, drills, threaders, cutters) to install or repair piping systems.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Install, modify, maintain, troubleshoot and repair industrial or domestic high-temperature water and high-pressure piping systems and equipment; 2) plan, lay out and install piping systems and equipment from blueprints, sketches, etc.; 3) performing soft soldering and silver brazing with an oxyacetylene torch.
