You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FUELS SPECIALIST of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER JACKSONVILLE.

Duties

You will ensure petroleum and maintenance operations comply with environmental regulations. You will plan work activities; manage and supervise the assigned Fuel Department staff. You will make selections, evaluate performance, takes disciplinary action and identifies training needs of subordinate employees You will furnish professional and technical counsel on matters such as operational logistics problems, interpretation of higher level Navy and DoD bulk Petroleum, Oils, and Lubricants (POL) directives.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • This is a Supervisory position.

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Possessing the ability to direct fueling operations planning, execution, and environmental control measures in support of Navy and Coas Guard vessels, and Navy, Army, and Air Force installations in the region; 2.) Managing all assets, manpower and material resources required for the operations and Maintenace; 3) Ensuring that all customer requirements are satisfied efficiently and in compliance with all applicable directives; 4) Developing short range and long-range plans for execution of fuel mission requirements; 5.) Coordinating with Defense Logistics Agency- Energy (DLA-E) and commercial supplier representatives to balance customer fuel demands with fuel re-supply.
