You will serve as a IT Specialist (INFOSEC) in the Ranges/TRGTS OPS, INSTRMTN & LABS GROUP of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Duties

You will track the operational security posture of CLR for information systems . You will track that the systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and procedures. You will coordinate proposed changes to the system and analyze any potential security impact or risk associated with those changes. You will review and implement operational information systems security implementation policy and guidelines.

Requirements

• This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code System Administrator, proficiency level Basic the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band (DS-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Supporting the implementation and execution of the Risk Management Framework (RMF), ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures; 2) Evaluating information systems to ensure system security is compliant with requirements; 3) Managing multiple projects/efforts to effectively implement cybersecurity compliance across the Department. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

3 full years (54 hours) of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
