About the position: This position will be assigned to the Sustainment Flight- Lodging.
This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
Light physical effort in reaching, bending, turning, or moving hands, arms, feet, and legs to operate hand and foot controls. Frequent handling of objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
Duties
Operates a variety of motor vehicles including pickup trucks, panel trucks, flatbed trucks, carryalls, sedans, crew cab pickup trucks, jeeps and station wagons that weigh up to 10,000 pounds, for transport of personnel, supplies, materials, or equipment and tools throughout the installation.
Performs operator maintenance, such as checking fluid levels, air pressure in tires, cleaning and washing vehicles. Loads or assists in loading, unloading, and arranging cargo.
Loads linen carts to deliver clean linen to closets in a list of 15 or more different facilities by area and building number. Includes loading, stocking shelves, and organizing all shelves with correct amount of each type of linen according to a standardized stocking plan.
Retrieves dirty linens from each storage area by loading items in linen cart and transporting full carts to the Linen Exchange warehouse. At the warehouse, vehicle operators will sort, count, bundle, and tag dirty linens and place the bundles on flat carts for contractor pick up.
May also be required to organize clean linen from contractor onto carts for delivery, load and stock shelves in the linen exchange warehouse, and perform general warehouse housekeeping duties as required such as sweeping, mopping, wiping, etc.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and one every three years thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- To be considered for this position, the applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or a Legal U.S. Resident for a minimum of 3 years and must reside in/around the area as noted in the Job Opportunity Announcement.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Qualifying Experience:
Must have skill in maneuvering and driving vehicles weighing up to 10,000 pounds.
Must have knowledge of defensive driving techniques and regulations.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Must be able to load and arrange cargo. Must be physically able to frequently handle objects weighing up to 40 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to exert light physical effort in reaching, bending, turning, or moving hands, feet, and legs to operate hand and foot controls.
Pre-Employment Task Requirement:
Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.
Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
"This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use."

Education

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.
