You will serve as an INVENTORY MANGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Logistics Directorate, Naval Medical Readiness Logistics Command (NAVMEDREADLOGCOM) of NAVMEDREADLOGCMD.

Duties

You will perform acquisition operations involving procurement via Military Standard Requisitioning and Issue Procedures (MILSTRIP), Prime Vendor, Electronic Catalog (ECAT) and Government Purchase Card (GPC) programs. You will utilize HAYSTACK, MASTER MEDICAL CATALOG, FEDMALL (or equivalent programs) to place Military Standard Requisitioning and Issue Procedures (MILSTRIP) orders to support supply needs for the command. You will utilize the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for procurement research/execution, initiating acquisition expediting processes, and to research material shortfalls to resolve inventory issues. You will provide training support to the department on procurement execution processes and Government Purchase Card procurement requirements. You will procure administrative supplies and medical equipment such as surgical instruments (e.g. CT Scanners, X-Ray machines). You will be responsible for the inventory, accountability, and reporting of Command Minor Property. You will serve as a Command Approving Official for the Government Purchase Card Program.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • The position requires a valid state driver’s license.
  • Incumbent must complete OGE 450 (Confidential Financial Disclosure Report) annually as a purchase card holder.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing acquisition operations involving procurement and managing inventory to meet supply demands in support of the mission; Experience ordering a variety of technical supplies ranging from administrative and medical support materials, instruments and equipment; Experience making supply system decisions and recommendations to provide supply support within authorized funding; Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: Inventory Management Series 2010 (opm.gov) General Schedule Qualification Standards (opm.gov) Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related
