This position is located in NPS Inflation Reduction Act, in the Resource Management Division. This NPS Inflation Reduction Act funded position serves as the Partnerships Program Assistant in the Office of Communications, Partnerships, and External Affairs (OCPE) at Grand Canyon National Park. The position may be duty-stationed at Grand Canyon or Flagstaff, AZ.
Duties
The purpose of this position is to support the Partnerships Program Manager and the park superintendent in planning, outreach, communication, agreements, and Director's Order compliance related to all non-profit partners. This includes official non-profit partners through the Friends Group and Cooperating Association, as well as Community Organizations, resource advocacy partners, and other partnering government agencies.
This position performs duties such as:
Provide administrative support to the partnerships program and 15 community and philanthropic partners for Grand Canyon National Park. Assist in program strategic planning.
Coordinate agreements between the park and non-profit partners including but not limited to Cooperative Agreements and Philanthropic Partnership Agreements.
Support planning and logistics for partner meetings, including coordinating calendars and disseminating meeting agendas and minutes.
Assist with community and inter-divisional engagement, such as providing technical assistance for agreements to park staff.
Qualifications

Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. To receive credit for experience, your resume MUST clearly indicate the nature of the duties and responsibilities for each position, starting and ending dates of employment (month/year), and the resume must reflect full and/or part-time or total number of hours worked (i.e., work 40+ hours a week, rather than indicating full-time). If part-time, the hours must be annotated to be able to pro-rate the amount of qualified specialized experience.
To qualify for this position at the GS-09 grade level, you must possess most of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: Review governing agreements to ensure all financial responsibilities and planning needs are met; analyze issues to identify alternatives and resolve problems; assist in the development of outreach strategies, work plans, and partnership activities; reviewing and analyzing memos, studies, reports, evaluations, and other information related to policy issues, and implementing action items. You must include hours per week worked.

EDUCATION: Successful completion of at least a master's or equivalent graduate degree or two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LLB or J.D., if related. You must include transcripts.

A combination of specialized experience as described above and education as described above. To combine education and experience, determine the total qualifying experience as a percentage, take the number of months of specialized experience and divide by 12. Then determine the education as a percentage of the education required. Only graduate education in excess of the first year may be combined with experience to qualify applicants for positions at the GS-9 grade. Finally, add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent. You must include transcripts.
Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

To qualify based on education, you must submit a legible copy of transcripts from an
accredited institution with your name, school name, credit hours, course level, major(s), and grade-point average or class ranking. Transcripts do not need to be official, but if you are selected for this position and you used your education to qualify, you must provide official transcripts before you begin work.
If you are using
education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet qualification requirements, you must show that your education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
