This vacancy is for a GS-0346-14, Logistics Mgmt Specialist located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT DIVISION.

Duties

You will serve as a Logistics Mgmt Specialist and be responsible for providing expertise, oversight, and guidance in the development, execution and improvement of Coast Guard wide policy, procedures and functionality associated with the Logistics Capability and Information Technology Life Cycle Management.

Qualifications

To qualify at the GS-14 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Resume MUST demonstrate that you meet the specialized experience. Specialized experience must include the following: Ensure alignment of information technology enabler to develop solutions and improvements involving logistics support, configuration management processes and program effectiveness. Develops and implements requirements, doctrine, and policies to ensure effective and efficient agency integration of functions throughout an assets life cycle. Facilitates recurring Portfolio review of Logistics Information Technology with stakeholders. Plans, develops, integrates, and sustains a cohesive forward-looking strategy and program of logistics policies and processes supporting operations and sustainment of agency missions enabled by Logistics Information Technology. Manages fiscal resources and coordinates contracting support actions in support of program activities. Facilitates the development of statements of work to acquire and utilize contractor support personnel in support of Division mission and achievement of goals Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. NOTE: Education can not be substituted for experience at this grade level. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule, C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.
